Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. GoXev collects only the information needed to operate the service, secure your account, connect to your vehicle, and provide analytics and notifications. We do not sell your personal data.

1. Who We Are

GoXev is developed and operated by Goavnitech. GoXev provides a mobile application and related services that allow electric vehicle owners to monitor, manage, and gain insights into supported vehicles through official manufacturer APIs and connected services.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and disclose information when you use GoXev.

For privacy-related questions, requests, or concerns, you may contact us at: privacy@goxev.com

2. What Data We Collect

We may collect account information such as your name, email address, account identifier, account creation time, sign-in activity, settings, and preferences.

We may collect vehicle data such as VIN, model, trim, software version, battery state, range, charge limits, charging state, climate status, location data, trip locations, drive history, charging session information, drive session information, lock state, sentry status, windows, doors, trunk, and live telemetry supported by the manufacturer.

We may collect usage and diagnostic data such as screens visited, features used, crash logs, error reports, device type, OS version, app version, language, notification capability, push notification tokens, and notification interaction events.

We may collect connected service data such as OAuth or API authorization tokens, scopes, permissions, linked account metadata, and technical connection details needed to keep your vehicle integration functioning securely.

We do not sell your personal data, intentionally collect your phone contacts, microphone input, photo library contents, or camera contents unless a future feature explicitly requires it and you grant permission. We do not store full payment card details when billing is handled by Google Play or another payment provider, and we do not use your information to create third-party advertising profiles.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use information to create, secure, maintain, and manage your GoXev account; authenticate you; connect your account to supported vehicle manufacturer APIs; retrieve vehicle data on your behalf; display live status, history, telemetry, analytics, insights, and automation-related information; send alerts you choose to receive; improve performance and reliability; diagnose technical issues; prevent abuse; enforce our Terms of Service; and respond to support, feedback, legal, or account management requests.

We do not use your personal data for third-party advertising, and we do not sell or rent your information to advertisers.

4. Legal Basis and Consent

By using GoXev, linking a vehicle, or enabling optional app features, you acknowledge and consent to the collection and processing of information described in this Privacy Policy as necessary to provide the service.

Where required by applicable law, we process data based on your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, the necessity of performing our agreement with you, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How We Share Your Data

GoXev does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share information in limited situations, such as with supported vehicle manufacturers or mobility platforms when required to authenticate your linked vehicle account or retrieve data through official APIs.

We may share information with infrastructure, hosting, database, storage, notification, analytics, monitoring, payment, or subscription providers that help us operate the service on our behalf.

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of GoXev, our users, or others.

When third-party providers process data on our behalf, they are expected to handle it in accordance with appropriate confidentiality, security, and legal obligations.

6. Vehicle Manufacturer Access and OAuth

When you connect your vehicle, GoXev may receive authorization tokens or related credentials from the manufacturer or connected provider. These credentials are used only to access vehicle data and perform supported actions on your behalf.

GoXev does not store your vehicle manufacturer password in plain text. Access is managed using authorization methods supported by the manufacturer, such as OAuth.

You may revoke vehicle access at any time by unlinking the vehicle in GoXev or removing GoXev access through the vehicle manufacturer's account settings where supported.

7. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

Data may be stored in secure cloud infrastructure and managed databases used to operate the GoXev platform. Data in transit is protected using encrypted connections such as TLS where applicable.

Authentication credentials, linked account tokens, and other sensitive connection data are stored using reasonable security controls and, where supported, encrypted or otherwise protected at rest.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Although we take security seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security of every transmission or storage system.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data, vehicle data, and related records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the platform.

If you delete your account, unlink your vehicle, or request deletion, we will remove or anonymize applicable data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or legitimate operational reasons.

Aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you may be retained for analytics, product improvement, and service reliability purposes.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction, request deletion, request export, revoke vehicle access, manage push notifications, and ask questions about how your information is collected, used, or shared.

You may exercise privacy-related requests by contacting privacy@goxev.com or by using available in-app account tools.

10. Location Data

GoXev may display and store location data received from your vehicle manufacturer's API, such as GPS coordinates, address estimates, or route-related records, in order to provide maps, trip history, parked location, geofencing, and related features.

In many cases, this location data comes from the vehicle itself rather than from your phone's location sensor. If a future feature requests device location from your phone, that permission will be requested separately through your operating system and can be denied or revoked by you.

11. Push Notifications

GoXev may use notification services such as Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver functional alerts and account-related notifications.

These notifications may include charging updates, low battery warnings, connection alerts, climate or security events, and other vehicle or service-related messages you choose to enable.

You can manage notification preferences in the app or through your device settings. We do not use push notifications to send unrelated third-party advertising.

12. International Data Processing

Depending on where you use GoXev and where our infrastructure providers operate, your information may be stored or processed in countries outside your state, province, or country of residence.

By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in locations where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction, subject to reasonable safeguards where applicable.

13. Children's Privacy

GoXev is not intended for children and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we learn that a child has provided personal data in violation of this policy, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

14. Telemetry Recordings, Replay, and Exports

GoXev may offer telemetry recording, replay, and export features. These features can include live signal values, timestamps, vehicle identifiers, charging state, drive state, GPS-related values, climate state, battery values, command-related state, and other telemetry fields selected by the app or by your account tier.

Telemetry recording is intended to be user-requested. When you start a recording session, GoXev may temporarily store the selected telemetry stream on server-side storage so that you can replay it in the app or download it in a structured format.

Recording sessions may be limited by duration, frequency, account tier, storage availability, and abuse-prevention rules. Recorded files may be deleted automatically after the retention window shown in the app or configured by GoXev. Downloaded telemetry exports may contain sensitive vehicle, route, location, and usage data, and you are responsible for protecting files after downloading or sharing them.

15. Subscription, Referral, Promo, and Admin Data

GoXev may process subscription status, free trial status, premium expiration dates, referral codes, promo codes, referral attribution, redemption history, admin adjustments, and eligibility rules so that we can provide the correct account tier and prevent abuse.

Referral and promo data may include who referred whom, when a code was used, whether a vehicle was linked, and whether a referral qualifies for a reward. To reduce fraud, GoXev may compare linked vehicle identifiers, account identifiers, device or usage signals, and redemption patterns.

Administrative actions such as granting premium time, disabling an account, or adjusting a subscription may be logged for accountability and support.

16. Remote Commands and Command Logs

When you send remote commands through GoXev, such as locking, unlocking, climate control, charging, window control, sentry mode, valet mode, or other supported actions, we may record command metadata to operate the service, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, and show command history.

Command metadata may include the command type, target vehicle, account, time, request status, provider response, and error details. We do not guarantee that every command will be logged, delivered, or executed because command behavior depends on vehicle state, manufacturer APIs, network connectivity, and other external systems.

17. Automation, Rules, and Alerts

If you create automations, rules, schedules, thresholds, or alerts, GoXev may store the rule configuration, trigger conditions, notification preferences, delivery state, and related event history needed to run those features.

Examples include charging alerts, climate alerts, service reminders, location-based rules, battery thresholds, and security notifications.

18. Analytics, Product Improvement, and Reliability

We may use aggregated, de-identified, or pseudonymous data to understand how GoXev is used, diagnose performance problems, improve features, prioritize development, and keep backend systems reliable.

Analytics may include feature usage, screen flows, API latency, crash frequency, command failure categories, and general service health. Where practical, we limit analytics data to what is needed to improve the service and avoid using sensitive personal details for product metrics.

19. Account Deletion and Vehicle Unlinking

You may request account deletion or unlink a vehicle from GoXev. Deleting an account generally removes access to the app, linked vehicles, user settings, active automations, subscription associations inside GoXev, and user-controlled account data.

Vehicle unlinking stops GoXev from using that vehicle connection going forward, but it may not immediately remove historical records that were already created. Some data may remain temporarily in backups, logs, exported files, support records, security records, or records required for billing, legal, or fraud-prevention reasons.

If your subscription is handled by an app store or payment provider, deleting your GoXev account may not automatically cancel billing with that provider.

20. Sensitive Data and Safety Expectations

Vehicle data can be sensitive because it may reveal location patterns, home or work locations, driving behavior, charging habits, daily routines, and vehicle access status.

You should protect your GoXev account, device passcode, exported files, and any shared screenshots or reports. Use a strong password, keep your device secure, avoid sharing sensitive exports, and review linked vehicle permissions periodically.

21. State, Regional, and Consumer Privacy Notices

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable state, provincial, national, or regional privacy laws. These may include rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object, portability, or appeal.

GoXev does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms may be defined by certain privacy laws. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide required choices.

22. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technical integrations, legal obligations, or business practices.

When material changes are made, we may notify you through the app, by email, or by updating the Last updated date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of GoXev after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised policy.
